Do I have do sing all the "da da da" stuff if I audition for choir?

I'm going to audition for choir when school starts. I plan on singing "breakaway" by kelly clarkson and I was wondering if I should or have to sing all the "da da da da da da" before the songs starts, it's also in the middle somewhere.
