Probation in Tennessee?

My friend doesn't have a computer, so I will post this ? for him. Bare with me. He is on probation for 8 years has already served 2. Is paying restitution as required. He is not "Convicted" but is on Judicial Diversion and of course after 8 years it never happened. OK, he has a court order giving him permission to drive over the road, he is curious about getting his probation status to unsupervised. Reason for this is simple he is afraid that if he is over the road & he cannot make it to the probation office on time. He doesn't want to get into trouble while trying to make a living. What if anything can he do. Sorry this was so long but I typed as he was telling me...LOL
