Wedding Reception Venues?

Hi everyone I am getting married in june 2010 and in the process of looking for a venue for about 111-130 people. What type of place should I look at. We really don't want to spend a lot of money on a venue.We found a beautiful banquet hall for 130 people, and the cost is $ 1,400 for a friday and $ 1,600 for a saturday. My FH and I are at war because I chose a saturday because out of town guest need to prepare for travel, tickets etc...While my FH wants to have it friday simple because it is cheaper and will save us $200.00, I am at my wits to give up. I am just worried people won't show up for a friday night. I would like advice..Thanks in advance.
