Does dotting your fingernails with sharpie cause cancer?

for starters, why are you asking random people on the internet for answers? why do you think they're gonna know any better than you? secondly, they wouldn't sell the pens if they caused cancer. and i'm guessing she already did it once and is just trying to sound smart and now she's wanting proof cause she's scared that somehow her information might be correct.
