I want to install Ubuntu in my laptop, only ubuntu single OS (not dual boot sys.). how to partition manually?

is there any graphical example to do this ? i did 2 partition of my 80GB hdd. but after installation it shows only 1 partion in system. can u plz tell me what should i put in mount option. i put / in first partion and for second partition i put /urs. plz guide me to make 2 partion of my 80Gb hddisk for ubuntu os.
