Why are all Oriental-asians being categorize as Chinese here in the UK?

My form cl had to fill out a form that asked about ethnicity recently. There was a box that said Other White Asian, all the Filipinos ticked that box. Thing is though, I'm guessing that there are more Indians, Pakistani's, Bengali's and Chinese in Britain than there are Filipinos that's why they all have their own box.
