Why are people so paranoid about PDA?

Same reason people are paranoid about nudity, and you hit the nail on the head - the religious Puritans that infest this country in every corner. They seem to condemn and despise everything except worship of their sky wizard. Forget them - be sure to turn up the heat whenever you see one giving you a judgmental glare.
