I'm 17 years old I believe I have Chronic Bronchcitis... Will I die shortly If i keep smoking?

I think I have chronic bronchitis or getting it or maybe worse. I don't want to scare my mother due to me being an only child ( A little to Ironic don't you think?) I try to stop but can't...I started at 8. Every since My great grandma ped (feb 27th 08) I been smoking Uncontrollable...I looked up some things and symptoms I have mainly all of them Except the swelling in the ankles..
